Good afternoon Mr. Elder,
In accordance with HB194, effective Sept. 1, 2013, Veterans, as defined by 38 United States Code (U.S.C.), Section 101(2) who have a service-connected disability as defined by 38 U.S.C. Section 101(16), and have a disability rating of 20 percent or more as determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs or the Department of Defense, are a now recognized as qualifying persons recognized for HUB certification.
The HUB certification application forms that are currently available online can still be used by business owners who the eligibility criteria. In addition to the items that are currently required to be submitted with the application, Veterans meeting the criterion above will also need to provide a copy of their DD214 (Military Discharge) and a Disability Rating Letter issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs or the Department of Defense.
